Hazardous Waste Collection   

Harris County does not have a nearby collection site scheduled this spring to collect items not normally picked up by our garbage service. However, the city does have a site at 5614 Neches, close to the US 59N and I-610 interchange, that is easy to use. It is open on the second Thursday of every month from 9AM to 3PM and will take household hazardous wastes such as antifreeze, batteries, used oil, paint, TVs, etc. They will not accept ammunition, explosives, radioactive wastes, etc. You may access the web details at www.houstontx.gov/solidwaste/esc-north.html.
